Sampson County Parks and Recreation does more than provide recreational athletic opportunities for our residents; we also provide open spaces, senior adult activities, coordinate special events, conduct sports camps and clinics, and partner with local municipalities to provide a variety of recreational programs. Through these partnerships, Sampson County Parks & Recreation is able to provide recreational programs for citizens of all ages.

Recreation districts are based on high school attendance boundaries used by the local school systems. The county is divided into 4 geographical areas: Midway School District, Union School District, Hobbton School District, Lakewood School District. Each district is staffed with a superintendent that is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the park district which includes both youth and adult community programming for all ages.
